"世界上没有丑的女人, 只有懒惰的女人"

"世界上没有丑的女人, 只有懒惰的女人" ("There are no ugly girls in the world, only lazy ones")

I don't know where this quote came from, but I think it is totally true!

Any girl with a proportianate face can look beautiful. Seriously! All we need is grooming.

All those actresses, models, popular girls at school, pretty pictures of girls you see on facebook, beautiful girls you see in shopping malls and so on, are just any other ordinary girl which are 'made up' to look strikingly beautiful that they just grab your attention for a split second, or more.

Okay, some people may not need to dress up or make up much because of "natural beauty", but guys, I am so sorry to say that, not all girls have it.

Most girls are cursed with pimples, scars, blemish, dark eye bags, pores, uneven skintone, extra hairs on unwanted areas of the face, maybe a little noticable difference in the size of their eyes, and uneven shape of corners of the lips and the list goes on.... But that doesn't mean we have to just totally accept that and live with the sad curse.

Makeup and grooming, can do wonders.

Though, still a minority of guys (and maybe girls) would still go like, "Oh, I hate makeup, I love naturally beautiful girls, those that makeup are really actually really ugly, I can't bear to know how they would look like without it, what's with all that trouble, waste of money..........." bla bla bla... Telling girls what they think about all of that..
At the end of day, they stare at pictures of celeberties and girls in magazines, and even well polished girls on the street, and admit they are beautiful. wtf. I don't think I should label them with a word, but, yeah..

Okay, also, maybe not all girls are pro at these makeup and grooming stuff, making ourselves look weird with all of that hard work, heck, even I am still learning and so not totally good at it yet, BUT we are learning right? It takes lotsa practice and time and effort and it is actually so totally worth it.
Ever watch The Devil Wears Prada? House Bunny? erm or any other chick flick or non-chick flick movie that has a girl looking all simple or nerdy, then just dressing up a bit to shine and then become successful? Yeah, all that work does change our lives.

Okay, in my case, I was really haha unattractive when I was younger (not saying that I am very attractive now) But now I bet is way better than before! >_<.

This is in Form one, 7 or 8 years back. Okay, laugh all you want. I never thought it would appear again.

Unshapped brows, pimple infested face, unkept hair, dark thin framed specs (whytf did I ever get those specs?!), and, sloppy posture T.T

I liked a guy in Form one but I think he never even gave a second thought about me and I don't blame him T.T I was also freggin' shy then because I was unconfident and all. Always walked to school loooking at the ground. Didn't dare to look into anyone's eyes when talking and all. Didn't have many friends because of the lack of confidence.... I was so sad >_<.

And after years of learning and grooming, and discussing with girl friends on beauty tips and Youtube videos on how to makeup and DIY facial stuff... Oh, I promote Michelle Phan. She is just so awesome.

I looked more er.. lookable than I did back then. I cured the pimples, covered the blemish, evened the skin tone with BB cream/foundation, did my hair, plucked my brows. That's about it.

My er, smile, still hasn't changed tho. Haha. But nevermind.

Atleast I am more confident now, have alot more activities, friends, boyfriend, and dared to take narcissistic pictures of myself.

Therefore, all it needed to be acceptable was 'work' T.T

There are more pictures out there that I bet you all have seen of celebs with before and after makeup right right?? yeah.. that tells ya how much one can transform with the right grooming.

Like they all said, this is a rather superficial world, and we get judged on how we look on the outside more often than on the inside.

So, I really encourage girls to not be lazy, and change your lives.

However, all of this is kinda really taking it's toll on me T.T

Everyday, we have to wash out face, wash our hair, brush our teeth, wear the contacts, put on foundation, sunblock, toner, moisturizer, remove makeup, repeat the toner and moisturizer before bed.

Every week we have to exfoliate our skin, put on masks, polish our nails, pluck out armpit hairs, shape the eyebrows, for some people, shave their legs which I am so blessed because I don't have to do it. and, exercise.

Every few months we have to visit the hair saloon.

Every year we have to go to the dentist, go for checkups and the gynae T.T
Oh, and shopping! Which may apply more frequently to others >_<. *confess

On special occasions like parties, dinners and social occasions, we gotta set our hair, apply different types of makeup which have to learn throughout our every year, pick our best outfit (which is havoc I tell u!!)

See all that hard work. T.T

That is where natural beauty come in handy, atleast we can cut down on some areas.

Owells.

That's life for the average girl ehy?

But I still love life this way.

It trains Discipline.

(which is why presentable people are more accepted as well, because it shows that you have discipline to take care of yourself at the same time do other work........................ it's a whole new topic :o)

Damai 02.2010

Yeap, it's Damai once again, it's kinda like one of the only few places that is easily accesible for kids in Kuching for a retreat from the "city" life. >_<.

So we went up on Saturday afternoon in happy and excited moods. Though, there were several rocks along the way. I mean problems. Haha. First one of our friend's car broke down. Then, the travel agent made a mistake and booked our rooms in June. HAHAHA~

But all went well after solving those little glitches.

On the way down in the car, I saw a.. VOLCANO! which is green, and doesnt have a hole in the middle, without steam or wadeva... Ok ok cut the crap, it's just a thick cloud on the mountain. BeautifulNess *heart*

The main thing I was looking forward to in this trip was actually the following morning. I was soooo determined to wake up early, bath, dress up for a photo shooting session :P

wadd~ Dun haf marnie to go to studio to take pro pics maa....

So, I used my multi-talented boyfriend and his semi-pro camera to take some better pics while I'm 20/21. :p Haha. Actually I wanted to learn how to take pictures with his cam, but ended up working in front of the lense instead XP

Anyway, Saturday night was pretty crazy.

The buddies had lots to drink. They played this game with cards where someone will drink at every turn!

It was kinteo but a bit too stressful for me at such an hour. Haha. So I only played one round and finished one can of Heineken. >_<.

I had to down some of this before the game T.T

Anyway, next morning, I realised my period came! wtf wtf wtf. And I soooo wasn't expecting it to come so soon lorr.. so didn't bring any sanitary pads, so had to buy this Biosilk sanitary pad from the convinince store. RM9.90 for 10 pads. LIke WTF so damn expensive right?! what to doooooo.. That was the only type of pads with wings T.T
So girls, remember to bring ur pads out all the time, anytime for what ever occasion.

okay, so I woke up pretty early, hehe.. You can tell from the pics cos it wasn't very bright.
I think the lighting was perfect. And it wasn't hot yet. Good cos you don't need no eye squinting and won't sweat much. And also, we'd get more pleasant and cooler tone pictures =)~

My worn out slippers! Lost my other ribbon the night before.

I think this is like the perfect nail colour for a sunny day. And white Roxy bikini :P :P

So the shooting started outside our chalet. I love the chalet! It's way better than the rooms, especially the hill top ones!

Looking all kampung.

I liked that corner. Low tide hehe.

Heaven can be seen from earth. It looks so peaceful. I love it! God is such an amazing artist.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this pic taken by my multi-talented-boyfriend, Henry. Lol.
This pic is practically my wallpaper now.

And oh, I suck at posing, because I am shy. So, most of the pics are candid... I think. >_<. hmm.

And I really have no idea when the photographer is snapping a pic or not cos he didn't use flash and the lense is always on me. hmm hmm.. ok nvm.. haha

enjoy, or hurt ur eyes, I don't care,
haha.. lots more mes down there.

wow! that rhymed! >_<.

I am so gonna attempt to paint this. Forgot what mode baby did with his camera.

Things I had on me.

A stick, a bag and my stupid worn out buaya slippers >_<.

Mrs Robinson Crusoe ahaha~

Clarence and some friends came down to the beach later for a morning walk hehe.

Happy lol. I totally dunno wad to say. She(Happy Wong) noticed the missing 'Y'.. haha.. which I didnt even think of.. erm.. nvm if u dont understand.. I also dunno how to describe, I just find it funny haha.

I like this, it's totally candid.

This too. They are soooo well evened out. Look like some song album cover haha.

My cute agile dearie lol.

awww *heart*

Baby and his friends.

Random pic during breakfast. This is the iPhone casing I randomly bought for Henry from Bangkok because it was cute and red. Haha. THB750 T.T But I have a weakness for beautiful things like this. Haha. There was also the angel iPhone casing, but I thought I had too many already, so I didn't buy it. Damn! regret a bit! haha.

A pic I took near the Tennis court while waiting my turn.

And that's me going to pick up another tennis ball.

This is my pro photographer lol. Love.

Snakes in the year of the Tiger

The following predictions are according to this little booklet I read at Times and MPH bookstores.

It's Lilian Too's! So accurate or not, it's up to you to believe :P

Naturally, the first book I would pick to read would be about the Snake. =)

I am sooo happy to read that this year is an excellent year for the Snake!

We have good err ommphhhh and will be very well off and succeed in the err... three forgot what important categories. >_<. Geesh I'm so good at reporting.

Anyway, the book just said that in 2010, we will have high energy and will excell in most of the things we do such as in work and business. On the financial side, there will be very few problems but overspending will always be a problem. Haha *swt swt swt

So, I'm looking forward to this year and the start of uni. =D~! Such a great book to read at the begining of the year ^^

Btw, I'm learning a few songs with Lorna's keyboard, kinda hard cos I have completely no background in pianoo haha. But I'm enjoying so~

Hopefully I'll succeed in that. HAha.

And maybe earn more

and

this year?? >_<. The pile hasn't been adding up for some time already >_<.

Colouring with Makeup

ooh yeah~ Haven't been updating in ages because.............. I've been on crazy shopping sprees online and offline hanging out a lot with mah Sha sha, and feel that a day does not have enough hours, tho, I'm usually exhausted by late noon.. hmm~

Anyway, did this last week.

It isn't superb I think mainly cos I was in a half lazy mode and couldn't be bothered to perfect it =\ But posting it up anyway because I coloured it with makeup =D

Mineral Foundation, bronzer, blusher, lipstick, eyeshadow and eyeliner to be exact!

It was really fun experimenting with this medium cos it's sooo eaSY to countrol. As foundation is made to even the skin tone of one's face, the results of its evenNess can easily be seen on paper. nomatter how you spread it, the colour is always even on the paper.

The only downside is, I didnt have enough colourful makeup, therefore, the picture looks a bit dull.

This is the black and white version which is also quite messed up but, I'll do better next time >_<.

Hope the laziness wears off soon...

p/s: OMG CANT WAIT FOR CNY!!!! =DDDDDDDDD

And then it was found...

Serena Van der Woods's

The pair I found at Jenny boutique.

okay, they are not a 100%.

Serena's strap is slightly thinner and have more compact studs. (Which is way nicer =[ )

But this is what China brand you can get in Kuching. Haha.

Though, I would love it more if it were dark brown =\
